Drawings are progressing this week. I was able to recieve dimensions for the building so I could start drawing it in google sketch up and it is coming along quite well. I will work very hard over the break to keep up with the cross section and exterior elevation drawings.

Log

Drawings for the cross section have begun this week. I will be able to do exterior wall section with labeled materials and dimensions. I will also be working on roof pitch from these drawings. If I work diligently I will be able to do the cross section in another direction. After all that is complete the math and science analysis will be completed and a foundation plan will be made.

Log

For this week I was catching up on work, so therefore I handed in my mentor contacts "late", giving me a 78 instead of the actual grade I deserve for the actual work that I did. I even did extra mentor contacts to ensure the 100 according to how many credits I obtained. Sure enough, I obtained the 10 credits, and more. But apparently my contacts were "LATE"!

Also for this week, I will be doing my calendar and bid sheets because I wouldn't want to get points off for being late again. So I will actually work and hand in everything on time. So that is the events of this week.

Log

Over the last few weeks I have been gathering information on building foundation, materials, facades and procedures. After speaking with my group members we decided on what materials we wanted the building to be made out of and what style roof.

For the foundation were using concrete 8"x8" cinder blocks and building up the walls with the blocks. We are then putting gravel down before laying down the cement floor of the foundation. On top of the cinder blocks we will be using stucco because of the more natural and modern look to it. We also decided on a flat roof with overhangs near the main entrance and ambulance entrance as needed. This is the basic overview of what I have been working on and especially concentrated on according to the new job assignments within the group.
